Checked out Thanatos Eternal, Arsenic Lullaby, and The God Project on Saturday. Good show although no people showed up. Not a surprise in this pathetic “scene”.

Let’s replay shall we…

The “scene” –
“This place sucks, why don’t bands come here, there’s nothing to do, I want to hear good music and see shows…boohoo fucking hoo”

Translation – I want all of this without having to get my lazy goth ass off the couch. Oh and I refuse to support local music because that may actually IMPROVE the “scene”.

Nothing ever changes because it won’t…ask yourself why…same shit for years and years now.

Kudos to Ken from Shinma for still trying to do something…If I was him I would have given up a long time ago. Just like Will Z did. Jeff Carline did…and others…try and try and just throw their hands in the air and give up. I did. I just do my thing now and expect NOTHING.

It is what it has always been…you know it USED to be about music a few years back. It had SERIOUS potential. Remember Vampire’s Ball ’99?…Visions Of Passion & Torture…the Firehouse…OVER 600 people showed up. My guess is those people got wise and left this town. What is left of that “scene” are a few aging cynics like myself wishing someone now had a fucking clue. What has taken over and replaced it is now just a gothic fashion show at best and a shitty one at that.

LOL…There once again is my unpopular opinion. So I will continue to play music hoping someday it will return to a “scene” where people actually give a shit about music and live shows..and blah fucking blah.
