So last night the lovely Kate and I went to see MINIKISS at the Tap Room. For those not in know MINIKISS is a KISS tribute band comprised of “little people”. And yes it sounds…um…..
interesting. Yes I also know I’m sad and sick to spend $5.00 on a KISS tribute band. And shame on Kate for allowing me to wallow in this sickness. LOL. Anyhoo if your curious. They don’t play live. They sing to backing tracks. Then again considering physical limitations I suppose that’s allowed. The “MiniGene” did do a live drum solo. For what it’s worth it was strangely amusing to see KISS fans yelling and screaming and enjoying themselves as if KISS were really performing. One of the oddest things I’ve ever seen. We couldn’t help feeling a bit sorry for them as people DO make fun of them. But then they knew that would happen when they started the tribute anyway. So as long as they are having a good time with it..more power to them..
